<h3>Assignment Overview</h3><ul><li>Shift: Nights, 3x12hrs</li><li>Hours: 36 hrs/wk</li><li>Start Date: Apr 6, 2026</li><li>Length: 13 weeks</li><li>Openings: 1</li></ul><h3>Description</h3><p>American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PICU position requiring a minimum of 2 years of PICU experience, with floating responsibilities to NICU, L&amp;D, and Postpartum.</p><h3>Details</h3><ul><li>Hospital-based PICU with 4 dedicated PICU beds and 8 convertible beds (monitored or general pediatrics)</li><li>Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2 in the PICU and 1:3-4 for general pediatrics</li><li>Floating required to NICU (training provided), and to L&amp;D and Postpartum as helping hands only</li><li>Equipment used includes CPAP, Vapotherm, and high-flow oxygen therapy</li><li>Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30</li><li>Every third weekend required</li><li>Self-scheduling with manager final approval; block scheduling is permitted but assigned weekends must be honored</li><li>No PCAs on unit — total patient care is required</li><li>COVID-positive patients are cared for on this unit</li></ul><h3>Requirements</h3><ul><li>Active NJ State or Compact RN license currently in hand</li><li>Minimum 2 years of PICU experience required</li><li>Current certifications required: BLS and PALS</li><li>Must be able to pass a basic arrhythmia exam</li><li>COVID vaccination card required for consideration</li><li>Nursys verification required for consideration</li></ul><h3>Additional Information</h3><ul><li>Provide total care to PICU and pediatric patients, including those with COVID</li><li>NICU float orientation/training is provided</li><li>Candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility are considered local and may be subject to a different pay structure</li></ul>
