Maybe I’ve been spoiled from the last hospital I was in but the way that it was run, at least in the pharmacy, placed unnecessary extra work on the technicians. 
The hospital I was at previously is the same size as well. Everywhere is understaffed and things are still run as if staffing is full, which places a strain everywhere. The flow that is present, in my opinion could absolutely be improved, keep in mind I was there back in 2022. The use of Epic for some reason is safe guarded as if we don’t need to use it to clarify. I’m not going to go and hunt down another healthcare professional or go back downstairs for someone to check and see who’s supposed to be in the room, for clarification when I could just as easily, also, clarify it if given permission. 
Suggestions, for improvements are met with, “well the hospitals size… again the last hospital I was at, is the same size and capacity. In my head that is not a suitable excuse for having techs/pharmacists (covering for techs) run around trying to do their jobs. 
I’m not mad or even upset just disappointed with the way things are handled. 
P.S. I worked there as a full time tech and not contracted.
