<h3>Assignment Overview</h3><ul><li>Shift: Nights, 3x12hrs</li><li>Hours: 36 hrs/wk</li><li>Start Date: Oct 12, 2026</li><li>Length: 13 weeks</li><li>Openings: 1</li></ul><h3>Description</h3><p>American Traveler is seeking an RN for a Progressive Care Unit float pool role requiring NC or compact RN licensure and at least one year of nursing experience.</p><h3>Details</h3><ul><li>Hospital-based float pool position covering Progressive Care/Stepdown units including Surgical, Neuro, Medicine, Cardiac, Cardiovascular, and Burn Center</li><li>May also float to acute care units as needed</li><li>Patient ratios generally 1:3 to 1:4 on PCU units, up to 1:5 on acute care units</li><li>Night shift schedule, 7:00pm to 7:00am</li><li>36 hours per week, 3 shifts per day at 12 hours each</li><li>Every other weekend required</li><li>Every other holiday required</li><li>No on-call responsibilities</li></ul><h3>Requirements</h3><ul><li>Active RN license in North Carolina (NC or compact)</li><li>BLS certification (AHA or ARC) required</li><li>ACLS and NIHSS certifications required</li><li>Minimum one year of nursing experience required</li><li>Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN required from an accredited nursing school</li><li>BSN or MSN preferred</li></ul><h3>Additional Information</h3><ul><li>Delivers competent clinical nursing care in coordination with the interdisciplinary care team</li><li>Responsible for patient assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation of outcomes</li><li>Performs bedside point-of-care testing as needed</li><li>Participates in discharge planning and patient/family education</li><li>Supports unit performance improvement activities and interdisciplinary collaboration</li><li>Reports to and works under the direction of the Nurse Manager/Director</li></ul>
