I worked on OMF, plastics and burns.  Team manager was great, responsive.  Staff was very helpful.  Docs were easygoing.  Residents were VERY helpful.  They are going through growing pains, new surgery wing opening in May.

Internal travel is hired directly into float pool. Management wasn't bad to deal with, communication was subpar. Would go back.

My experience at UNC is exceptional. Every facility has its downfalls, but compared to most facilities I've worked, the teamwork,  communication  and nurse to patient ratio  are the best!

I've worked for other hospitals in the state of NC prior to moving to the RDU, so coming to UNC I was expecting to enjoy my job as much as my previous. I wish I could say I did. The parking, first off... Is a nightmare. Off campus parking and shuttle services adding another hour to your commute some days. Bonuses are stingy, previous hospital gave multiple incentives throughout the year.. you get a small percentage bonus at UNC once a year. We are constantly short staffed and struggling to make it through the day. 
The pay is the only halfway decent thing. I've applied to other local hospitals and couldn't get offered what I did at UNC. BUT that was only to realize that a good portion of my check was going to pay for parking that isn't even on campus.

Beware of getting the worst patients as a traveler and dealing with a toxic culture.
