Under paid, some units run without PCA’s, and if you happen to have one good luck getting one that will actually do what they’re supposed to! Management is bad and are more worried about getting things like bedside reports in place than literally anything else! No quality control over documentation, or best practices being consistently used!

Labor and Delivery

All was going fairly well, with no patient/ family complaints, nor any comment from mgmt about charting. Looked up one day and we had so many agency, we were having to pick who got to leave. Next day, I was told my contract — which had just been extended — was terminated. Nothing else from mngt or anyone else. Madness.

Ratios 1:6 or 1:8 if paired with an LPN. Not a safe hospital for you or the patients. I loved the staff I’ve worked with but that is it.

I decided to take a step down job, and I’m normally an icu nurse. It appears on some step down units nurses get immediate post op caths and TAVR patients at a 4:1 ratio and often times slam you with them which in my opinion is a safety issue. Ultrasound is not bedside, weekends are every other and if you call out you have to make up the following weekend no excuses. I often leave work feeling like I couldn’t give the care my patients deserve and the care I’m used to giving.

The organization is not organized, the majority of the staff nurses are nasty to travelers not welcoming environment at all.

Awful, unprofessional. Absolute chaos in which no one knows what they are doing. Bait and switch tactics; will hire you for days then tell you they only have night shift. Run, don’t walk away from this horrid place!

If I could give them negative stars, I would.
