<h3>Assignment Overview</h3><ul><li>Shift: Nights, 3x12hrs</li><li>Hours: 36 hrs/wk</li><li>Start Date: Aug 10, 2026</li><li>Length: 13 weeks</li><li>Openings: 1</li></ul><h3>Description</h3><p>American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Department RN with a minimum of 2 years of ED experience for a rotating night/evening shift position in Maryland.</p><h3>Details</h3><ul><li>Work in a fast-paced Emergency Department setting at a hospital</li><li>Treats all patient age ranges, from infants to geriatric</li><li>Patient diagnoses span all systems, including complex and multi-system presentations</li><li>Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4, with potential to increase to 1:5 for lower acuity patients</li><li>Rotating night and evening shifts: 19:00–07:30 and 15:00–03:30; primary scheduling need is for nights</li><li>Schedule of 3x12 or 4x12 shifts accepted (36 or 48 hours per week)</li><li>Every other weekend required</li><li>Holiday coverage required as scheduled</li><li>Floating within the specialty and to sister ED facilities (Cambridge, Chestertown, Queenstown) as needed</li><li>No pre-scheduled on-call shifts required</li></ul><h3>Requirements</h3><ul><li>Active RN license for the state of Maryland (MD) or a Compact RN license currently in hand</li><li>Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required</li><li>Minimum of 2 years of ED/ER nursing experience required</li><li>NRP and TNCC certifications preferred</li></ul><h3>Additional Information</h3><ul><li>CPI certification is completed during onboarding and is not required prior to start</li><li>Every other weekend coverage is required</li><li>Holiday shifts are required as they fall on the schedule</li><li>First-time travelers are welcome to apply</li><li>Any time-off requests should be disclosed upfront during the consideration process</li></ul>
