I really enjoy using Vivian and it does help a lot, but it doesn't update often enough so the jobs you're looking at can actually be closed for a couple weeks sometimes more - even if they say "posted 1 day ago" which can cause a lot of disappointment. However, I always suggest this site to people traveling.

# of beds: 26 Phase I PACU, 31 Admit/Phase II beds split between 2 floors, they don't run the full PACU on the 2nd floor, ENDO is occupying some of that space. 
Phase 1 or Phase 2: Yes- phase II is combined with preop.  Phase I can also do some phase II discharge in evenings and weekends. PACU will need to be able to do phase II discharge if needed. Preop is not a requirement unless otherwise indicated.
Ratios: 1:2, 1:2 Phase I, up to 1:3 in Phase II is typical. Unit follows ASPAN guidelines.
Required Certifications	ACLS, PALS, BLS
Common Cases: General surgery, ortho, urology, gyn, gyn/onc, vascular, neuro, orthopedic, spine, ENT, eye, plastics, and more. Pediatrics, not a large pediatric population but there are some. Mainly ENT and some ortho/ other lower acuity pediatric cases. High acuity peds go to Children's hospital. 
Experience or 'Must have' skills: PACU Phase I/II, sometimes preop
EMR	EPIC, EPIC experience is strongly preferred. 
Charge Nurse/House Supervisor: CN, there is also house supervisor for bed control outside of periop, one charge over admit/discharge and one over PACU.
Are there nurse aids on this unit/Ratios:	SST’s. 
RT Equipment (vents, Cpap, BiPap, etc): As needed, low volume
ICU patients - do they recover in PACU?: Rare, possible for bed holds/ if ICU is full. 
RNs read strips?: yes
Shifts &amp; Scheduling: PACU open 0 M-F. Call shifts outside of that. Preop opens earlier. 8/10/12. Will try to specify length of shift in contract. Could be a combination of 8s 10s and 12s. Manager does scheduling.

Additional Notes: 30-65 cases per day, 20% add ons. PACU does extubate at times, if the traveler does not have this skill the unit educator will train the traveler on extubation in PACU. Preferred skill, not required.
