Great place to work!!

I had a really nice time on this unit. The staff was very welcoming and willing to help. It was a level 1 trauma so we got a lot of orthopedic trauma cases.  I would recommend going if all you want to do it work because the area is very very boring.

No opportunity for OT for travel nurses, unsafe assignments. Sometimes ratios on stepdown are 1:5 and they won’t ask if travelers want to pick up OT to have safe ratios. Not much to do in the town. It’s nice the beach is semi close. Staff here and travelers are nasty to one another. CNA’s are only helpful to core staff. All the things travelers want out of a hospital, this hospital lacks.
