Pros

Good pay and benefits with pension.

Cons

High nurse to patient ratios, ridiculous and unreasonable amount of documentation that it is nearly impossible to achieve completion. Verbally and physically abusive environment from adolescent patients that requires lots of patience and thick skin. I felt like my license (along with my safety) was constantly at risk because there were almost always suicidal or homicidal patients, and with high patient to nurse ratios, it was hard to justify continuing to work there. This place has an extremely high turnover rate for a reason.
