Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) is responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to patients who require moderate to high levels of monitoring and intervention. This position is suited for experienced professionals with the ability to adapt to varying situations and provide top-notch clinical support.

Shifts and Scheduling

• Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM
• 36 hours scheduled per week, with 24 hours guaranteed
• Potential shift cancellation by the organization once per week
• Willingness to float to similar units or other locations as needed

Weekend and On-Call Requirements

Weekend and on-call responsibilities will be determined by the specific facility's needs.

Requirements

• Minimum of 24 months of PCU experience with recent practice within the last 12 months is required.
• Life support certifications must be from reputable organizations such as AHA, ARC, or ASHI.
• No violations on state nursing license to practice.
• Availability to start on the specified start date or within one week.
• Requests for time off (RTO) cannot exceed 7 days and cannot occur during the first week of assignment.
• A valid driver's license is required for residency verification.
• Prior travel experience is highly preferred.

Profile Requirements

• Completion of a designated cover page is necessary.
• Resume must detail all previous facilities, departments worked, trauma level designations, and number of beds.
• Completion of a PCU skills checklist within the last 12 months is mandatory.
• Active license to practice must be verified within the last 30 days.
• Active ACLS and BLS certifications from an approved vendor are required.
