PCU/Stepdown Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking experienced PCU/Stepdown nurses to provide high-quality care in a dynamic and engaging environment. This position will require strong assessment skills and the ability to manage patients with complex needs, specifically those requiring cardiac drip management and titration.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the PCU/Stepdown unit.
• Titrate and manage cardiac drips as per established protocols.
• Monitor vital signs and assess patient conditions regularly.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to create and implement individualized care plans.
• Floating between units is required during overstaffed conditions.

Shift Information

• Shift: Night, 3x12 hours (19:00 - 07:00)
• Weekends required: Yes, every other weekend

Patient Ratios

Expected nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:4-5.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) with a current nursing license.
• Experience in PCU or Stepdown settings is mandatory.
• Cardiac drip management experience is a hard stop requirement.
• Strong critical thinking and effective communication skills.

Additional Information

Candidates may choose one holiday—either Thanksgiving or Christmas—but cannot select both. 48-hour workweeks are approved. Block scheduling is not required.
