Responsibilities

• Work rotating shifts with a 6-week schedule, including every other weekend, based on unit needs.
• Float to various units as required.
• Provide comprehensive care in an Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) setting.
• Maintain patient safety and adhere to all healthcare regulations and protocols.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, and Social Services.
• Administer medications, manage cardiac drips, and provide post-operative care.
• Utilize Cerner charting system for patient documentation.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with previous charge experience preferred.
• Current PA or Compact nursing license.
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications are required.
• Proficiency in managing ports, BiPAP/CPAP, and central line care.
• Experience in telemetry and dysrhythmia interpretation.
• Ability to manage a patient ratio of 1:5 during the day and 1:6 at night.
• Experience with PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown patient care is essential.
• Strong skills in isolation precautions and PPE usage.
