Job Summary

Join our dedicated healthcare team at WCS Healthcare Partners in Greensburg, PA, where you will have the opportunity to provide exceptional patient care in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU). Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a PCU setting.
• Administer medications and manage IVs, including starting and maintaining IV lines.
• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry and dysrhythmias.
• Perform central and peripheral line care and management.
• Manage non-invasive airway devices such as BiPAP/CPAP and high-flow nasal cannula.
• Deliver care for patients with complex medical conditions, including post-cardiac surgery and renal failure.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including respiratory services, physical therapy, and pharmacy.
• Participate in rapid response and code teams when required.
• Ensure compliance with isolation precautions and PPE protocols.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a PCU or similar setting.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required; NIHSS certification preferred.
• Previous charge experience preferred but not required.
• Experience with charting systems and telemetry monitoring.
• Ability to manage a patient ratio of 5:1 during night shifts.
• Experience in a community hospital setting is preferred.
• Strong skills in accessing and managing ports, blood product administration, and wound care.
