Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients with mental health conditions such as anxiety, depression, schizophrenia, and bipolar disorder.
• Manage dual diagnosis patients, including detoxification and mental health treatment.
• Administer medications and monitor for side effects, utilizing the Omni Cell dispensing system.
• Perform admissions and discharges, ensuring a smooth transition for patients.
• Act as a charge nurse when required, overseeing the unit and supporting staff.
• Provide care for medically acute patients, including IV therapy, CPAP management, wound care, and diabetic care.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using the EPIC EMR system.
• Adapt to rotating shifts and float between units as needed.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of inpatient adult psychiatric experience.
• Active Massachusetts RN License.
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Proficiency in using automatic medication dispensing systems and managing psychotropic medications.
• Competence in IV pump usage and diabetic patient care.
