Join our team in Boston, MA, as a dedicated RN specializing in Adult Psychiatry. Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult psychiatric patients.
- Administer medications and monitor patients for side effects.
- Perform patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Manage admissions and discharges efficiently.
- Act as a charge nurse when required, overseeing unit operations.
- Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and standards.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of inpatient adult psychiatric nursing experience.
- Proficiency in using automatic medication dispensing systems (Omni Cell).
- Competence in the use of psychotropic medications and understanding of their side effects.
- Experience in managing IV therapy and diabetic care.
- Active Massachusetts RN License.
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS) certification.
- Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends.
