Description
Join WCS Healthcare Partners in Worcester, MA, where you will have the opportunity to provide exceptional care in a state-of-the-art Critical Care Unit. As a Registered Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit, you will play a vital role in the recovery and well-being of our patients.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality care to critically ill patients in the ICU.
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, implementing appropriate interventions.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Utilize Epic charting system for accurate documentation of patient care.
- Float to Extended Care Unit as needed.
- Maintain patient safety and adhere to infection prevention protocols.
Requirements
- Permanent MA RN License.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a critical care setting.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
- Experience with medical ICU patients and managing a patient ratio of 2:1.
- Preferred experience in community hospitals and with Epic charting system.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts and every other weekend/holiday.
- Strong skills in managing ventilated patients, central line care, and interpreting arterial blood gases.
