Description
Join a dynamic and fast-paced Emergency Department in Patchogue, NY, where your skills and dedication will be valued. As part of WCS Healthcare Partners, you will have the opportunity to work in a 437-bed teaching hospital with a Level II Trauma Center, providing exceptional care to a diverse patient population.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality care to patients in the Emergency Department.
- Perform triage, assessment, and stabilization of patients.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation using the Epic charting system.
- Participate in patient and family education.
- Ensure compliance with infection control and safety protocols.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Emergency Department setting.
- Current NY State RN license.
- ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required.
- Experience with Epic charting system preferred.
- Strong skills in BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, and central line care.
- Ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias.
- Experience in trauma care, with Level II Trauma Center experience required and Level I preferred.
- Proficiency in starting and maintaining IVs and administering IV vasopressors.
