Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the medical-surgical oncology unit.
- Administer medications, including chemotherapy, and manage infusion therapies.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans and symptom management.
- Ensure adherence to infection control protocols and safety standards.
- Participate in patient assessments and document care using the Epic charting system.
- Float to other MS/Tele units as needed.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in medical-surgical or oncology settings.
- Active NJ or Compact RN license.
- Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS.
- Experience with Epic charting system.
- Highly preferred: ONS Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy Provider Card.
- Ability to work every other weekend and holidays as required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
