Description
Join our dynamic healthcare team in New Haven, CT, as part of the Emergency Department. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, providing critical care and making a significant impact on patient outcomes. WCS Healthcare Partners is seeking skilled and dedicated professionals to deliver high-quality care in a Level I Trauma Center.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department.
- Cross-train and float to other campuses and ED observation as required.
- Maintain patient ratios of 1:6 during both day and night shifts.
- Work every other weekend as part of the regular schedule.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to plan and evaluate patient care.
- Adhere to hospital policies and procedures, including patient safety and infection control measures.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation using the Epic charting system.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar hospital setting, with at least 1.5 years in a Level I Trauma Center.
- Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and TNCC.
- Experience with Epic charting system preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to float within scope to meet facility needs.
- Commitment to patient-centered care and continuous professional development.
