Description

Join WCS Healthcare Partners in New Haven, CT, a vibrant city known for its rich history and cultural diversity. We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Respiratory Therapist to provide high-quality care in a fast-paced environment. This position offers the opportunity to work in a Level I Trauma Center with cutting-edge technology and a collaborative team of healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Provide respiratory care to patients in the NICU, including the use of advanced respiratory equipment and techniques.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Participate in patient assessments and adjust respiratory care plans as necessary.
  • Float between SRC and YSC campuses as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using the Epic charting system.
  • Participate in trauma care and high-risk deliveries as required.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist.
  • National certification as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification preferred.
  • Experience with Hamilton C6 ventilators preferred.
  • Ability to work night shifts (6:45 pm - 7:30 am) and every other weekend.
  • Experience in trauma care and extra corporeal techniques preferred.
