Description
WCS Healthcare is seeking an experienced Post‑Anesthesia Nurse (PACU RN) for a contract assignment at a prestigious hospital in Hyannis, MA
Job Function:
- Day Shift and Night Shift.
- 11am-7:30pm/ 1pm-9:30pm.
- Provide individualized, emotionally supportive post‑operative nursing care in accordance with anesthesiologist and attending physician instructions.
- Monitor and document patient vital signs, airway status, pain level, and level of consciousness per PACU protocols.
- Assist anesthesiologists and attending physicians during post‑operative recovery as needed.
- Document all nursing activities thoroughly, including writing a discharge note once the anesthesiologist clears the patient for transfer.
- Ensure all PACU equipment and supplies are stocked, functional, and readily available.
- Maintain a safe environment and respond promptly to changes in patient condition.
Job Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
Active Massachusetts RN license – required.
BLS, ACLS, and PALS – required (must maintain certifications).
One year of recent experience (within the last 5 years) in ICU, CVICU, CVPA, ER, or SDC/PACU.
BSN preferred.
