WCS Healthcare is currently seeking an experienced  Operating  Room Registered Nurse  for  a contract assignment at a highly respected hospital in  Springfield, MA. This role is ideal for  an  OR  nurse who thrives in a fast‑paced surgical environment and is committed to delivering safe, high‑quality perioperative care.  

Job Function:  

• Day Shift.
• 4x10.
• Document all patient care accurately, completely, and promptly in the facility EMR  
• Prepare the  operating  room for  procedures and  assist  with room turnover  
• Assist  with patient positioning and ensure comfort and safety throughout the procedure  
• Handle and label specimens according to policy  
• Maintain strict adherence to aseptic technique and infection‑control standards  
• Identify  and  initiate  corrective actions when necessary  
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and  OR  staff to ensure efficient workflow  

Job Requirements:

• 2+ years Level 1 hospital OR experience REQUIRED

• Scrub experience preferred but not required

• BLS (AHA only) required

• Must be comfortable in a high‑acuity Level 1 trauma environment

• Strong background in: Ortho, Total Joint, Neuro, Robotics, Trauma (required), Thoracic (required)
