WCS Healthcare is currently hiring an experienced  Pediatric  RN for a contract assignment at a prestigious hospital in Rochester, NY. This role is ideal for a nurse who excels in caring for infants, children, and adolescents, and who brings strong assessment skills, emotional resilience, and a family‑centered approach to care.  

Job Function:  

• Rotating Shift.
• 3x12.
• Conduct  age‑appropriate assessments, ask diagnostic questions, and document symptoms and medical history for physician review.  
• Provide initial and ongoing care based on a child’s developmental needs and clinical condition.  
• Identify changes in  pediatric  patients’ symptoms and intervene promptly in emergency situations.  
• Participate in  pediatric  pain management using evidence‑based,  age‑appropriate strategies.  
• Administer medications, draw blood, and give childhood vaccinations  in accordance with  pediatric  guidelines.  
• Monitor and record vital signs including temperature, pulse, respirations, and blood pressure.  
• Support parents and caregivers by addressing concerns, reducing anxiety, and helping families navigate illness or injury.  
• Stay current on  pediatric  best practices, treatment protocols, medications, and equipment.  
• Maintain  accurate, up‑to‑date patient records, charts, and documentation.  

Job Requirements:

• A  bachelor's or associate's  degree in nursing.  

• Minimum 2 years RN experience

• Pediatric Cardiac Care experience required

• Active NY RN License (NY ONLY)

• Telemetry experience required

• BLS – American Heart Association only

• PALS – American Heart Association only
