TRA RN Specialty

The Registered Nurse-(Specialty) will assume responsibility for assessing, planning, implementing direct clinical care to assigned patients on a per shift basis, and unit level. The role is responsible for supervision of staff to which appropriate care is delegated. The role is accountable to support facility CNO to ensure high quality, safe and appropriate nursing care, competency of clinical staff, and appropriate resource management related to patient care.  

Minimum education
Graduate of an accredited School of nursing

Preferred Education
Academic degree in nursing (Bachelors or Master’s degree)

Minimum Experience
Must have 2 years of nursing experience with a minimum one year current (&lt;6months) experience in their nursing speciality

Required Certification/Licensure
Must be currently licensed, certified or registered to practice profession as required by law, regulation in state of practice or policy. Must meet all certification  requirements for each nursing specialty supported (See Attachment A)
CPR-Basic Life Support – American Heart Association

Summary 
The RN provides high quality, safe, cost effective, total nursing care to all patients utilizing the nursing process. The RN assumes responsibility for overall coordination and integration of patient care based on need of the patient and family members. The RN directs care according to established standards of safety, risk management, Infection control, with the goal being to discharge the patient with an optimum level of care provided. The RN utilizes evidence-based practice in accordance with professional standards and adheres to the Florida State Nurse Practice Act. The RN reviews orders/test results and documents care delivered accurately and timely in the electronic health record. Position Requirements/Qualifications: (including required licensure/certifications, education and job knowledge / experience) 
EDUCATION: · Minimum: Graduate of an accredited RN program · 
Preferred: BSN EXPERIENCE: · 
Minimum: One (1) year recent experience in a PEDIATRIC UNIT preferred. REQUIRED CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE/REGISTRATION: · 
Registered Nurse - Licensed in the State of Florida. · American Heart Association BLS, PALS, NRP certifications
