Description
WCS Healthcare is currently seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse for a contract assignment at a highly respected hospital in Hyannis, MA. This role is ideal for a clinically strong RN who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and is confident caring for patients experiencing life‑threatening conditions.
Job Function:
- Night Shift.
- 3x12: 7pm-7:30am.
- Manage the care of adult and/or pediatric patients with critical, life‑threatening conditions requiring rapid assessment and high‑intensity interventions.
- Provide emotional support, education, and clear communication to patients and families during emergency situations.
- Collaborate closely with physicians and the interdisciplinary team, recognizing when early intervention is needed.
- Prepare patients for surgery, imaging, and diagnostic procedures.
- Perform essential emergency procedures including IV insertion, medication administration, blood draws, and airway support (intubation assistance).
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR.
Job Requirements:
Active Massachusetts RN license – Required
BLS (AHA) – Required
ACLS – Required
TNCC, ENPC, PALS – Preferred
De‑escalation certification – Preferred
2 years recent ER RN experience – Required
1 year ER travel experience – Required
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
