Description
WCS Healthcare is currently seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse for a contract assignment at a highly respected hospital in New Brunswick, NJ. This role is ideal for an OR nurse who thrives in a fast‑paced surgical environment and is committed to delivering safe, high‑quality perioperative care.
Job Function:
- Document all patient care accurately, completely, and promptly in the facility EMR
- Prepare the operating room for procedures and assist with room turnover
- Assist with patient positioning and ensure comfort and safety throughout the procedure
- Handle and label specimens according to policy
- Maintain strict adherence to aseptic technique and infection‑control standards
- Identify and initiate corrective actions when necessary
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and OR staff to ensure efficient workflow
Job Requirements:
3+ years CVOR RN experience
Active NJ or Compact RN license (required at submission)
AHA BLS
CNOR preferred
Scrub Cardiovascular Surgery (required for open‑heart cases)
Circulate CVOR cases (highly preferred)
TAVR experience (highly preferred)
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
BSN preferred
