WCS Healthcare is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) with strong Med/Surg Rehab experience to join a large acute care hospital team. The RN will provide comprehensive patient care for pre-operative and post-operative patients while collaborating closely with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.

The ideal candidate will have recent acute care Med/Surg Rehab experience, strong clinical assessment skills, and the ability to deliver compassionate, patient-centered care in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Job Function:

• Shift and schedule: Day Shifts | 34.5 hours per week (Three 11.5-hour shifts) | 7:00am - 7:30pm.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
• Deliver direct bedside nursing care to pre- and post-surgical patients.
• Administer and document prescribed medications and treatments.
• Perform wound care and infection prevention interventions.
• Insert catheters, initiate IV therapy, and manage specialized medical equipment.
• Monitor patient vital signs and recognize/report adverse reactions or changes in condition.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams on discharge planning and continuity of care.
• Educate patients and families regarding procedures, recovery, medications, and post-discharge care.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation and medical records.
• Adhere to hospital nursing standards, protocols, and safety practices.

Job Requirements:

• Active New York State RN License with Primary Source Verification
• AHA BLS Certification
• Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution
• Minimum 2 years recent Med/Surg Rehab experience in a large acute care hospital
• Most recent acute care experience must be within the past year
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• EPIC EMR experience preferred
