WCS Healthcare is currently seeking an experienced  Operating  Room Registered Nurse  for a contract assignment at a highly respected hospital in  Boston, MA. This role is ideal for an OR nurse who thrives in a fast‑paced surgical environment and is committed to delivering safe, high‑quality perioperative care.

Job Function:

• Shift: 40 hrs/ 4x10 Rotating  
• Document all patient care accurately, completely, and promptly in the facility EMR.
• Prepare the  operating  room for procedures and  assist  with room turnover.
• Assist  with patient positioning and ensure comfort and safety throughout the procedure.
• Handle and label specimens according to policy.
• Maintain strict adherence to aseptic technique and infection‑control standards.
• Identify  and  initiate  corrective actions when necessary.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and OR staff to ensure efficient workflow.

Job Requirements:

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing or  Bachelor's Degree in Nursing  (BSN).  
• 2 full  years of acute care experience in this  specialty.  
• BLS certifications  from the American Heart Association.  
• Active professional license required
• Previous acute care or specialty experience preferred
• Ability to work rotating day/night and weekend schedules
• Strong clinical, communication, and teamwork skills required
• Travelers must be flexible with scheduling and unit needs
