WCS Healthcare is currently seeking an experienced  Step‑Down RN  for a contract assignment at a prestigious hospital in Pennsylvania. This role is ideal for a nurse who excels in high‑acuity environments, uses strong critical‑thinking skills, and delivers patient‑centered care grounded in evidence‑based practice.

Job Function:  

• Shifts: 3x12 nights | 7:00pm-7:00am: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
• Deliver high‑quality patient care using the principles of  Relationship‑Centered Care, integrating theory, research, and evidence‑based practice.  
• Assess and  evaluate  patient needs while applying strong critical‑thinking skills to guide clinical decision‑making.  
• Integrate comprehensive assessment and intervention skills into all aspects of nursing care.  
• Prioritize patient care activities, including teaching, rounding, coaching, discharge planning, and  appropriate delegation.  
• Educate patients and caregivers about the plan of care, transitions of care, health promotion, and disease prevention—anticipating  needs and readiness to learn.  

Job Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required.

• Experience: Minimum of two (2) or more years of dedicated ICU RN experience.

• Contract History: Previous travel or contract nursing experience is required.

• Systems Proficiency: Must have hands-on experience with EPIC Electronic Health Record (EHR) software.
