WCS Healthcare is currently seeking an experienced  Operating  Room  Registered Nurse for a contract assignment at a highly respected hospital in  Atlanta. This role is ideal for  an  OR  nurse who thrives in a fast‑paced  surgical environment and is committed to delivering safe, high‑quality perioperative care.  

Job Function:  

• Shifts: 36 hours | 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM (Night shift)
• Document all patient care accurately, completely, and promptly in the facility EMR  
• Prepare the  operating  room  for  procedures and  assist  with  room  turnover  
• Assist  with patient positioning and ensure comfort and safety throughout the procedure  
• Handle and label specimens according to policy  
• Maintain strict adherence to aseptic technique and infection‑control standards  
• Identify  and  initiate  corrective actions when necessary  
• Collaborate with  surgeons, anesthesia providers, and  OR  staff to ensure efficient workflow  

Job Requirements:

• Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of recent experience within the Operating Room specialty.

• Clinical Expertise: Proven travel experience with high proficiency in a wide range of cases, including:

  • Robotics (da Vinci XI experience highly preferred)

  • Neurology & Orthopedics

  • Plastics & GYN

  • General, Thoracic, and Urology

• Certification: Active American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS).

• Certification: Active American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) (prefered)
