WCS Healthcare is currently seeking an experienced  Emergency Room Registered Nurse for a contract assignment at a highly respected hospital in Philadelphia Pennsylvania. This role is ideal for a clinically strong RN who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and is confident caring for patients experiencing life‑threatening conditions.  

Job Function:  

• Shift: 3x12 Nights
• Manage the care of adult and/or pediatric patients with critical, life‑threatening conditions requiring rapid assessment and high‑intensity interventions.  
• Provide emotional support, education, and clear communication to patients and families during emergency situations.  
• Collaborate closely with physicians and the interdisciplinary team, recognizing when early intervention is needed.  
• Prepare patients for surgery, imaging, and diagnostic procedures.
• Perform essential emergency procedures including IV insertion, medication administration, blood draws, and airway support (intubation  assistance).  
• Maintain  accurate  and  timely  documentation in the EMR.  

Job Requirements:

• Active RN license required
• BSN required
• Minimum 2+ years of Emergency Department experience required
• Previous travel/contract experience required
• Must be open to working any shift (days, mids, evenings, nights, and rotation)
• Local and travel candidates accepted at the same bill rate
• Must be able to commit to full assignment with no gaps (minimum 3 shifts per week for all 13 weeks)
• Every other weekend (EOW) required
