• Job Title: Pediatric ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
• Shift: Nights – 3x12
• Schedule: 12-hour shifts
• Position Type: Short-Term Contract (Traveler)
Job Summary
The Pediatric ICU Registered Nurse provides direct patient care to pediatric patients in a high-acuity hospital setting. This role requires strong critical care skills, trauma experience, and the ability to manage complex pediatric patients while collaborating with an interdisciplinary healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities
Assume responsibility for an assigned group of pediatric patients
Provide comprehensive nursing care for patients with varying levels of acuity
Monitor and assess physiological data, intervening as clinically appropriate
Administer medications, IV infusions, and blood products per physician orders
Assist physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
Accurately document patient care, responses, and changes in condition
Educate patients and families on care plans, procedures, and discharge instructions
Coordinate patient care needs with interdisciplinary team members
Delegate appropriate tasks to support staff
Maintain compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and nursing best practices
Required Qualifications
Minimum 1 year of pediatric ICU or stepdown experience
Level I Trauma experience required
Strong knowledge of nursing theory, practices, and clinical procedures
Ability to work independently during night shifts
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Education
Required: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program
Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Licensure & Certifications
Active RN license (Oklahoma or multistate compact license)
BLS (American Heart Association)
PALS (American Heart Association)
