Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – Intensive Care Unit (ICU) to provide high-quality care to critically ill adult patients. The ideal candidate will have recent ICU nursing experience, strong clinical judgment, and the ability to manage complex patient conditions in a fast-paced critical care environment.
Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill adult patients in the ICU.
Perform thorough patient assessments and monitor changes in patient condition.
Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
Administer medications, treatments, and therapies safely and accurately.
Monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, neurological status, and other critical parameters.
Collaborate with physicians and the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Manage patients requiring advanced critical care interventions.
Recognize and respond promptly to changes in patient status and clinical emergencies.
Provide patient and family education regarding treatment plans and care.
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
Follow hospital policies, infection-control standards, and patient-safety protocols.
Support patients requiring complex therapies, including dialysis, SLED, or equivalent interventions when applicable.
Participate in emergency response and other critical care activities as required.
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state where care is provided.
Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
Minimum 1 year of recent full-time equivalent nursing experience within the last 3 years.
Recent ICU/critical care experience strongly preferred.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
Strong clinical assessment, critical-thinking, and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a high-acuity critical care environment.
Preferred Qualifications
2 years of recent ICU nursing experience preferred.
Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) or related field preferred.
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification preferred.
CCRN certification preferred.
Experience with dialysis, SLED, or equivalent therapies preferred.
Schedule & Work Environment
12-hour night shifts
7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
36 hours per week
Adult ICU/critical care setting
High-acuity environment requiring strong assessment and critical-thinking skills
Winter plan participation required
