Description

Minimum Qualifications
- Associate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited educational program.
- Active GA Physical Therapist Assistant license required to start the assignment.
- BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
- Experience in an acute care hospital or inpatient rehabilitation setting preferred.
- Demonstrated experience implementing treatment plans and therapeutic interventions such as strengthening, balance, gait training, and functional skills training.
- Experience with common PT modalities and equipment preferred, including whirlpool, hot/cold packs, ultrasound, TENS, therapeutic pool, and assistive devices (canes, walkers, wheelchairs).
- Ability to document patient progress, provide patient and family education, and participate in interdisciplinary team conferences.
- Adherence to safety, infection control, and safe patient handling procedures.
