Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA.
  • Active Florida Physical Therapist license required to start the assignment.
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from AHA or ARC required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of acute care or hospital-based physical therapy experience preferred. (Preferred)
  • Experience with patient evaluation, development and implementation of individualized treatment plans, and patient/family education.
  • Demonstrated competency in safe patient handling and materials handling practices.
  • Ability to complete timely, accurate medical record documentation including daily notes, goal writing, discharge summaries, and letters of medical necessity.
  • Familiarity with interdisciplinary team collaboration, discharge planning, and equipment ordering/trialing in a hospital setting preferred. (Preferred)
  • Maintain professional licensure and meet state-mandated continuing education requirements.
