Description

Make a real difference as a travel Physical Therapist Assistant providing home health care in Orlando, FL. Minimum Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program.
  • Current, active Physical Therapist Assistant license in the State of Florida.
  • BLS / CPR certification (Healthcare Provider) from AHA or ARC.
  • Minimum 1 year of PTA experience. Home health experience preferred.
  • Experience with Homecare Homebase (HCHB) EMR preferred. This is a client-specific requirement.
  • Ability to provide skilled physical therapy treatments in patients’ homes, including therapeutic exercise, gait, balance, transfer training, and functional mobility interventions.
  • Ability to accurately document visits in the EMR using measurable, objective clinical content compliant with Medicare and agency standards.
  • Maintain licensure, competencies, and regulatory compliance according to Florida practice acts, agency policy, and payer requirements.


Assignment Details

  • Facility type: Home Health.
  • Shift: Days.
  • Shift hours: 0800-1600.
  • Schedule: Monday through Friday.
  • Weekly hours: 36-40 hours guaranteed.
  • On-call/weekend requirement: No.
  • Coverage area: Orange County, FL.
  • Mileage reimbursed between visits from first patient to last patient.
  • Independent contractor resource type.
  • May be required to manage geographic visit coverage to meet productivity expectations.

Additional Role Details

  • Primary responsibilities: provide skilled PTA treatments per Plan of Care; implement therapeutic interventions including exercise, gait, balance, transfers, and functional mobility; document patient response and progress; educate patients and caregivers on HEP, fall prevention, and assistive device use; communicate status changes to supervising PT; follow infection control and safety protocols; collaborate with interdisciplinary team members.
  • EMR documentation requirement: timely and accurate entry in HCHB preferred.
  • Dress code: any color scrubs.
  • Minimum education: Associate degree.
