Description
Join Jackson Therapy Partners as a travel Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in Tacoma, WA at a hospital setting. Provide evaluation and treatment for communication and swallowing disorders in an inpatient acute rehabilitation environment. Use your inpatient rehab experience to support adults and older adults recovering from neurologic and other complex diagnoses. Thank you for your time and responsiveness.
Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Completed Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) and current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA, or equivalent clinical experience acceptable to client.
- Active Washington State SLP license required to start the assignment.
- BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
- Inpatient acute rehabilitation experience required.
- Experience treating adult and older adult populations, including neuro/CVA diagnoses preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a 60-bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital or similar acute rehab setting.
- Familiarity with electronic health record documentation used in acute rehab.
- Ability to manage caseloads averaging approximately 6–7 treatment sessions per 8-hour day.
Assignment Details
- Shift hours approximately 08:00–16:30.
- Schedule primarily Monday–Friday with one weekend shift per month and a compensatory day during the week.
- Weekly guaranteed hours approximately 36.
- Patient population: adult and older adult in an inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital; common diagnoses include CVA and other neurologic conditions.
- Time to report for first day: 08:00. Ask for Elle upon arrival. Parking located at front.

Impacting Patient Care
Work within a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team to deliver evidence-based speech, language, and swallowing interventions. Contribute to patient-centered discharge planning and functional outcome improvement in an acute inpatient rehab hospital. Maintain documentation and participate in team meetings to support continuity of care.
