We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher to join a supportive school team in Homer, Alaska. In this role, you will provide individualized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs, collaborating closely with families, educators, and related service providers to help every student succeed academically, socially, and emotionally.
Minimum Requirements
- Master’s or bachelor’s degree in special education from an accredited educational program.
- Valid Alaska state special education certificate or the ability to obtain required state certification.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in K–12 public school settings.
- Previous work with transition planning for secondary students.
Assignment Details
- Special Education Teacher - Resource Room with elementary students. Manageable caseload and paraprofessional support.
