Make a real difference as a travel Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in Santa Monica, CA. You will work with outpatients recovering from injury or illness, helping them move more effectively and return to activity under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist. Minimum Qualifications

• Associate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited educational program.
• Active California PTA license is required to start the assignment.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross may be required.
• No new graduates. Previous outpatient orthopedic or general outpatient experience required.
• Experience completing comprehensive evaluations, developing and implementing treatment plans, and documenting in compliance with state, federal, and payer guidelines.
• Demonstrated competency in safe patient handling and materials handling.
• Ability to supervise and delegate to therapy aides or support staff as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with outpatient electronic medical records and charge entry.
• Prior experience participating in student clinical education.
• Completion of state-mandated continuing education and demonstrated engagement in professional development.

Assignment Details

• Shift pattern: 5x8 schedule.
• 40 hours per week.
• May be required to float to other facilities within the client network.
