Opportunity:

RN - PCU Stepdown

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• Every other weekend requirement
• Holiday requirement includes 1 major and 1 minor holiday
• 20-bed Progressive Care Unit with 1:3 patient ratios (maximum 1:4 with medical overflow)
• Care for patients with cardiac, respiratory, ETOH withdrawal, and renal failure diagnoses
• Required to titrate minimal drips including Cardizem, heparin, and amiodarone
• Acute care experience with cardiac and respiratory skills required
• Required certifications: ACLS and BLS
• Unit features telemetry monitoring with both monitor techs and RNs reading strips
• RT equipment available includes CPAP, BiPAP, and high flow nasal cannula
• Nurse aids available with 1:7 ratio on days and 1:11 ratio on nights
• May serve as Charge Nurse or House Supervisor
• Float requirements to ICU or Med/Surg as needed
• On-call placement for low census only with 45-minute response time if called in
• 2-shift unit orientation provided
• Dress code allows any color scrubs except purple
• Charting system: MEDITECH
• BSN not required
• Facility can request 90-day emergency license - OR license not required at time of submittal
