RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• 36 guaranteed hours weekly
• No call requirements
• Minimum 2 years of telemetry experience required
• Must pass telemetry competency exam including identifying and measuring rhythm strips
• Nevada RN license required prior to start
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), NIHSS (APEX)
• Patient ratios typically 1:4 up to 1:6 based on acuity/workload
• Care for patients with CHF, alcohol withdrawal, NSTEMI's, sepsis, dysrhythmias, pneumonia, COPD, post-procedure patients including pacemakers, ablations, and cath lab procedures
• Administer non-titratable cardiac medication drips (Cardizem, Lasix, Nitro)
• May float to intensive care units, medical-surgical units, and other locations based on competency level
• Required to work major holidays and pick up one additional shift during each 4-week schedule period
• Schedule may include weekends, holidays, and some call shifts based on department needs
• Work in extremely busy and fast-paced environment with volume and pace of level 1 trauma center
