RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts, 3x12 schedule
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Call is not required
• Minimum 2 years of IMC/Stepdown experience required
• Medical/Neuro ICU experience preferred
• Must have experience with vasopressors, titratable drips, art lines, neuro stepdown patients, procedural sedation, thrombolytics, and trach management
• Required to pass ECG/Telemetry competency exam including reading/interpreting rhythm strips
• Nevada RN license required prior to start
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), NIHSS (APEX)
• Care for patients with severe but non-life threatening conditions requiring moderately complex assessments and interventions
• Treat patients with post ischemic/hemorrhagic stroke, sepsis, cardiac, and respiratory conditions
• May be required to float based on organizational needs and competency level
• May be required to work major holidays
• Required to pick up one additional shift during schedule period
• Work in extremely busy and fast-paced environment with volume and pace of level 1 trauma center
• Provide comprehensive nursing services to adolescent, adult and geriatric patients

The facility maintains state-of-the-art equipment and technologies, including the first accredited heart failure center and Institute for Neurosciences in northern Nevada.
