RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 4 ten-hour day shifts Tuesday through Friday from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• 13-week assignment duration
• 2+ years of OR RN experience required with combination of Ortho, Plastics, and OB/GYN experience
• Required certifications: Active RN license, ACLS, BLS, PALS
• Demonstrate critical thinking skills and scientific judgment in operating room patient care
• Work as member of surgical team with surgeons, anesthesiologists, ORTs and other personnel
• Ensure supplies availability and timeliness of surgical cases
• Communicate with patient families throughout surgical process
• Update physician preference cards and maintain accurate documentation
• Scrub and assist physicians during surgical procedures
• Supervise personnel delivering patient care in operating room environment
• Follow State Nurse Practice Act, AORN standards, regulatory requirements, and hospital policies
• Provide comprehensive patient care according to physician orders and departmental procedures
