RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Full-time position with immediate start date
• Care for adult and pediatric patients in high acuity emergency department
• Handle designated stroke, STEMI, trauma, and resuscitation cases
• Work in regional advanced cardiac hospital setting
• Practice independently while demonstrating awareness of all relevant clinical situations
• Provide routine and complex emergency care with ability to focus on long-range goals
• Make appropriate assignments and delegate to other care providers
• Utilize nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation
• Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
• Administer medications and treatments while monitoring for side-effects and effectiveness
• Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care provided
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, families, and caregivers
• Required certifications: Current BLS, ACLS, PALS (AHA only), and TNCC
• Texas RN license or compact license required
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred
• One year of experience in related nursing specialty preferred
• Must attend New Nurses Orientation within first 30 days
• Complete designated organizational entry competency validation and Emergency Department-specific competency validation
• Complete all annual competency verification requirements
