RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work on 9 Tower Surgical unit with 36 beds and 1:5 patient ratios
• 8 bedside RNs per shift with 1 Charge RN on day shift
• Fast-paced unit with short length of stay requiring strong time management and efficiency
• Provide maintenance of post-operative surgical procedure sites
• Perform wound care including packing, dressing changes, and wound vac maintenance
• Manage Foley catheter care and continuous bladder irrigation
• Handle ostomy appliance changes and maintenance
• Insert nasogastric tubes and manage suction
• Administer TPN and blood products
• Provide central line care and dressing changes
• Participate in bedside shift reporting
• Work with bariatric fitted ADLs, wound vacs, drains, and lifts
• Use Meditech EMR system
• Float to other medical-surgical units as needed
• Required certification: BLS
• Dress code: Black, grey, white, or royal blue scrubs
• Background in post-operative surgical areas preferred (vascular, bariatric, urology, general surgery, colorectal)
• Must demonstrate teamwork, outgoing personality, and customer service orientation
• Maintain prompt attendance, open communication, professional appearance, and responsiveness to patient needs
