Travel or Local Allied Healthcare Professional needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available

Opportunity:

Vascular Tech - Vascular Medicine

Job Details:

• Work variable shift schedules including 12-hour or 8-hour shifts
• Shift times may include 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, or 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Weekend work required
• On-call responsibilities required with own transportation
• Floating required between two campuses
• Handle 10-15 patients per day from inpatient, outpatient, and emergency room units
• Perform advanced cardiac and vascular circulation diagnostic exams using echo, ultrasound, and Doppler equipment
• Conduct ultrasound examinations of cerebral, peripheral, and abdominal vessels
• May perform therapeutic procedures such as pseudoaneurysm compression
• Assist physicians with biopsies, thoracentesis, paracentesis, and needle localization procedures
• Record and maintain test data and prepare preliminary interpretations of test results
• May perform routine abdominal, small parts, breast, OB/GYN, and other vascular ultrasound procedures
• Graduate of accredited Medical Sonography or Radiology Technology Program required
• 1-2 years of vascular ultrasound experience preferred
• Registered Vascular Specialist (RSV) or Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) from ARDMS, CCI, or ARRT required
• BLS certification from AHA required
• Temp to permanent position possibility
