RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 3 days per week, full-time schedule
• Rotating weekend requirement - up to 2 weekends per 4-week schedule
• May be placed on call if unit or hospital has low census
• Float to other units as helping hands when census or acuity is low
• Required certifications: Current New Mexico RN license or current Compact state license, BLS from AHA, ACLS from AHA, PALS from AHA (OR ENPC), TNCC OR ATCN
• CPI or equivalent preferred
• Graduate of an accredited program for Registered Nursing required
• Coordinate and implement patient care specific to age of patient population served
• Obtain and record initial assessments and establish priorities according to patient age, symptoms and psychosocial needs
• Develop and implement individualized plans of care within established timeframes
• Re-assess patients systematically to identify progress and trends requiring intervention
• Participate in patient/family health education and discharge planning
• Perform various Point of Care testing procedures
• Delegate unit work assignments and coordinate team assignments
• Maintain current knowledge and skills appropriate to patient population served
• Must maintain positive attendance and communicate any absences in advance
