Description
RN Position Job Notes:
Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Med Surg
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 13-week contract assignment
• 4 weekend shift commitment required
• No call requirements, but overtime shifts available
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5-6 patients
• Work on 5th Floor North Side trauma/neuro, ortho, and med-surg unit with 20 beds
• Required certifications: ACLS and BLS
• Must be skilled in starting IVs, Foley insertion/management, NGT insertion/management, colostomy system exchange, and drain management (JP, Hemovac, Wound Vac, Accordion Drains)
• Chest tube management and trauma experience preferred
• Work with equipment including wound vacs, trach equipment, suction, Plum 360 IV pumps, Covidien Kangaroo ePump, and Polar Ice Machine
• Use Meditech EMR system
• Handle typical procedures including ortho procedures (knees, hips, shoulders) and external fixators for trauma patients
• Dress code requires galaxy blue, black, blue, or grey scrubs with natural hair color and no visible tattoos
• Team consists of 1 charge nurse, 4 RNs, and 2 PCTs per shift

Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
