RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• 13-week contract assignment
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• No on-call requirements
• Work every other weekend
• Patient ratios of 5-6 patients per nurse on night shift
• Work on 20-bed surgical telemetry unit on 3rd floor
• Care for patients staying 1-3 days post-surgery including orthopedics, neuro, urology, thyroidectomy, hysterectomy, and DIEP procedures
• Work with occasional equipment including CPM, T-stat, and wound vac
• Dress code requires navy blue scrubs only
• Must have BLS certification and critical thinking skills
• Over one year of nursing experience preferred
• Must be able to work in fast-paced environment and provide relief charge duties when needed
• Collaborate with PT/OT, case management, hospitalists, surgeons, PAs, and NPs
• Participate in daily patient rounding to ensure quality care
• Self-scheduling system available with flexibility for shift trades and extra shifts
• Mandatory break policy during 12-hour shifts
