RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 4x10 hour shifts from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
• Primary assignment at PMC but must be willing to float to Main campus OR as staffing needs require
• No weekend requirements but can volunteer to pick up call at Main campus
• No on-call requirements, but expected to stay and finish scheduled cases if they run past block time
• Must have current New Mexico RN license or current Compact state license
• BLS Certification required via AHA
• ACLS Certification required via AHA
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred
• 1 year of experience in related nursing specialty preferred
• Provide routine and complex nursing care using the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation
• Address psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
• Administer medications and treatments using appropriate protocols while monitoring for side effects and effectiveness
• Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members and caregivers
• Make appropriate assignments and delegate to other care providers as needed
• Practice independently and demonstrate awareness of all relevant aspects of clinical situations
