RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work day shift from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Travel nursing position in main operating room with 14 ORs including 1 Hybrid CV OR, 1 Cysto, and 12 multipurpose ORs
• Maintain 1:1 patient ratios
• Work with standard OR equipment and Stryker video systems
• Use Meditech EMR system
• On-call responsibilities include 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM one day per week and weekend on-call once every 6 weeks when SSC Ortho doctor is on-call
• Minimum 1 year current hospital acute care experience required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Circulating and scrubbing experience preferred
• Meditech experience preferred
• Perform typical procedures including angioplasty, appendectomy, biopsy, and orthopedic/spine surgeries
• No transplant procedures performed
• Must prioritize patient experience and maintain good communication with staff and providers
• Must be adaptable to change

Facility:

This 408-bed hospital operates a comprehensive surgical services department with 14 operating rooms including specialized hybrid cardiovascular and cystoscopy suites. The facility employs approximately 60 FTEs in the OR including RNs, CSTs, PCTs, anesthesia technicians, and various leadership roles. The organization maintains modern surgical equipment and technology while focusing on patient experience and quality care delivery across multiple service lines including neurology, cardiovascular, and general surgery.
